Amid Covid-19 outbreak, Samsung's “Galaxy Sanitizing Service" allows users to come and get their smartphones cleaned in any of its service centers.

Washing your hand will become meaningless as soon as you touch your smartphone. A report suggests that there are about 25,000 bacteria and germs per square inch on your smartphone. To put it into context, a toilet seat inside a washroom has 1,200 germs for each square inch. So, you get the idea. Aiming to keep smartphones bacteria and germless amid COVID-19 outbreak, South-Korean tech giant Samsung will introduce a new service called “Galaxy Sanitizing Service,” allowing users to come and get their smartphones cleaned in any of the company’s service centers.

Customers can come to any Samsung service center around the world to clean, disinfect, and sanitize their smartphones without having to pay anything.

Samsung has not confirmed if the program has started in any of its stores. But the information about the program has already been uploaded on the company’s official website in Malaysia but it was later removed.
