Though the robot-making industry has come with many advances, Boston Dynamics never stops surprising fans with a rapid acceleration in technologies and its overwhelming product line. Amongst them, the humanoids robot named Atlas has evolved and become more sophisticated in a very timely manner.
From not being able to stand three years ago, it now can perform backflips like a master of martial art, run and even jump over obstacles. Furthermore, Boston Dynamics is looking forward to training it “perform a sequence of dynamic maneuvers that form a gymnastic routine” with its whole body.
As reported, engineers developing this humanoid robot have come up with an advanced algorithm, which orders Atlas to quickly get the instructions then perform the tricks that it was told to do. Many tasks requiring a bunch of complicated moves, such as a twisting jump, a flying kick or a handstand, now are just a piece of cake with our Atlas master!
Now, let’s treat your eyes to those mechanical wonders:
In a report published by Metro UK, the company disclosed that the robot can simultaneously do the task and monitor all the limbs itself. Thus, it can also predict upcoming movements so performing another stunt kind of a cakewalk.
