Research: 66% Indians Travel To Become Social Media Influencers

A recent study discovered that the majority of Indian travelers seek a career from their traveling hobby.

66 percent of Indian people think that they can earn money from traveling by working as a travel blogger or a social media influencer, instead of becoming a conventional full-time worker.

This was concluded based on the findings of a research that Booking.com, a travel e-commerce firm, carried out. The sample for this research includes adults that have traveled in that last one year and those that plan to go traveling in the next one year. There were almost 21,500 people took part in this research, including people from India, Germany, Spain, France, and Australia.

The research also indicates that more than 63 percent of Indian travelers said they hope to make a social media career from their travel hobby.

Regarding the research, Booking.com said that it covers several matters such as passion for travel inspired by popular social media influencers, consideration of making money from travel, and the pressure of appearing online. All in all, the research shows the impacts of social media on how we travel in the upcoming year.

Travel blogger is the ambition of many Indian travelers

In every ten Indian travelers, there are seven claiming their excitement about the potentials of traveling in space in 2019 as well as the coming years. They also said they would be willing to try this new kind of travelling.

According to the research, 60 percent of travelers show the preference for settling down under the ocean in comparison with living in space.

As indicated in the research, for their own trips, 53 percent of travelers in India choose to stay in accommodations which looks like where celebrities have been to.

Indians are traveling more than ever before. Today, the number of people visiting India is five times as high as that from twenty years ago, and this boost mostly comes from domestic travel. In 2017, 9 out of 10 travelers in India are Indians. And with the development of social media, technology, and higher living standard, it looks like traveling among Indian people will go even further in the coming years.
