Reddit Joins Hand With Patreon In Helping Creators Fostering Communities

Patreon and Reddit are joining hand in helping all creators grow their own communities as well as give the fans more methods to support the creators.

Patreon and Reddit are joining hand in helping all creators grow their own communities as well as give the fans more methods to support the creators. Creators on Patreon can now connect their Patreon page into their respective subreddits. Once the pages are integrated together, creators can then include the widgets on Patreon into their own subreddits to inspire their fans venturing out to the site. This project hopes that by doing so, the fans will come to support the works by subscribing to the page.

After a fan finish subscribing, creators can award them with a special Reddit flair. This flair, which is essentially a “Patron” label after the name, gives the fan some recognition for directly supporting. It can also let creators see instantly who is a subscriber in their own subreddit. Creators can insert flair to their Reddit accounts. They also can add widgets to their Patreon pages linking to their subreddits.

It seems like this serves the same purpose as the integration of Patreon and Discord. Basically, this partnership hopes to foster deep connections from creators to fans and give better communication. It is also expected to boost the creators’ income and subscribers amount. This partnership will start with a few communities and creators, which includes musician and artist Amanda Palmer before it becomes available for more next week.
