Quick Heal's anti-ransomware technology takes advantage of signature-less behavioral detection to block unknown and new ransomware attacks in real-time proactively.
Quick Heal Technologies from Pune has been the first company in India to receive a patent for its breakthrough technology for fighting against ransomware.
This technology is powered by Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The tech can detect and block unknown as well as known ransomware on a real-time basis, according to the company.
Quick Heal’s Joint Managing Director and Chief Technology Officer - Sanjay Katkar said:
Ransomware attacks accounted for 23% of more than 973 million cyber attacks on end-user devices in India in 2018. This technology is a breakthrough as the traditional solutions of security and human teams cannot deal with ransomware threats.
According to the company, the technology takes advantage of activity-based detection without signature to block unknown and new ransomware attacks proactively in real-time, all while allowing users to recover their essential data in case of a data breach.
Seqrite, Quick Heal’s enterprise arm, has also introduced an exclusive AI-based engine for hunting threat named “GoDeep.AI” to find emerging and current threats.
Katkar said:
Quick Heal Technologies, which was established in 1995, now has more than 25,000 channel partners.
Recently, it has been ramping up its major competency in its product innovation with the introduction of some innovative security offerings. Accordingly, it has unveiled the next-gen “Lighter Smarter Faster” suite including the leading features like Web Security, Safe Banking, Webcam Protection, Portable File Vault, Tally Backup, and Total Ransomware Protection, which offers comprehensive protection with minimal consumption of resources.
