The Vikendi snow map is a completely new feature of PUBG Mobile which is now developed on both two platforms including iOS and Android. It has been introduced in the 0.10.0 update of the PUBG Mobile which just came to the public eye a few days ago.
Reportedly, PUBG Corp, the developer of PUBG PC, published the Vikendi snow map on Steam on December 19, which makes PUBG Mobile the second platform to feature the new map.
Additionally, right before the rollout of the snow map, a fix has been also released to improve the graphics quality.
However, the Vikendi snow map was not available to play yet on December 20. According to LightSpeed & Quantum Studio, PUBG's developer, the matchmaking would start 24 hours later after the PUBG Mobile Vikendi snow map was made available for download. Specifically, this map could be playable at 5:30 am IST on the 21st of December. On both iOS and Android platforms, its download size is 134.2 MB.

In addition, the Firearms Finish Upgrade System is also added to this PUBG Mobile's new version. With the Firearms Finish Upgrade System, players can now experience some latest cosmetic items such as death crate appearances or kill effects.
Moreover, PUBG Mobile also received a hotfix to fix some significant issues in the game just ahead of the release of the new map. The developers listed some hotfix notes of PUBG Mobile Vikendi on Twitter as below:
There is no denying the fact that PUBG has become so popular across the world. According to Tencent's figures, PUBG Mobile has reached 200 million downloads with 30 million active users per day. It is worth noting that these numbers do not include the China market. It has received massive support from many international markets, including the Indian market. Another special thing about the PUBG Mobile is that users can even play this game smoothly on low-end devices running Android OS.
According to Sensor Tower, due to running on both iOS and Android platforms, the PUBG Mobile has taken the top spot as the most popular mobile game in Asian countries generally and China in particular. Besides, the US also accounts for 30 percent of PUBG's revenue. Additionally, the Android version of PUBG Mobile has also gained a lot of attraction from some markets where there is a limit of consoles or PCs, like India. Android smartphones here are considered as primary computing devices, leading to the ever-increasing popularity of this game.
