PUBG Mobile Ban Left Gamers In Shock But Parents Are Happy

As the Indian government suddenly bans PUBG Mobile, gamers are left high and dry. Gamers who spend hours a day playing this addictive game are looking for an alternative.

Little do you know that many PUBG players are girls. Sunidhi Goyal, a 15-year-old student, spent 3-4 hours per day playing PUBG Mobile. During the previous national lockdown, the game attracted more new players while schools didn’t have a certain plan to reopen. Sunidhi has got used to playing the mobile game so much that she cannot stand the ban and is now searching for an alternative.

On the other hand, Arshdeep Kaur, a Barnala girl, seems to welcome the ban. She said that she used to play PUBG Mobile for over 1 hour a day and couldn’t stop once she started. She added that the addiction to this game caused many students to perform poorly in their studies.

Meanwhile, Jai Kumar from Haryana is well aware of the tension between India and China. However, Kumar also spent hours on PUBG Mobile and is now in the search for an alternative.

Despite what these students think, they have one thing in common: their parents weren’t happy seeing them spending too much time on the game.

Kumar said that the PUBG Mobile ban has left gamers in shock because they haven’t got a replacement.

Shubham from Fatehabad said he would miss the game, which connected him with strangers, but there are other games to play as well. Shubham also described how the addiction to PUBG Mobile affected gamers, saying that they would get irritated when asked to turn off the game.

As upset as gamers may feel about this ban, parents actually feel relieved. They hope now that PUBG Mobile is banned, their children will spend more time studying or doing physical activities. A mother said:

“This game was not beneficial. Children would waste a lot of time. Many children wasted money, some even committed suicide. The government should ban all such games which waste children's time. My child also used to waste two to three hours. It was difficult to ask her to leave the game. I thank the government for banning PUBG.”
