Delta Airlines is working with an exoskeleton company from Utah Sarcos Robotics to test its powered exoskeletons to see if it help luggage workers at lifting luggage as well as other repetitive tasks.

So, what is exoskeleton? The exoskeleton can be a term used for a robotic suit, a wearable machine, powered armor, etc. It increases the wearer’s strength and endurance by combining different technologies.

Exoskeleton meaning is for a robotic suit, a wearable machine, powered armor, etc.

In a statement, Delta’s senior VP, Gareth Joyce, expressed the airline’s thankfulness to airline employees around the world and explained that that was why it wanted to deploy technology to make their jobs easier and safer.

The exoskeleton robot was showcased at CES 2020. It is called the Guardian XO exoskeleton. According to the company, the exoskeleton suit can help users lift up 90kg for a maximum of eight hours, getting rid of fatigue or work injuries. It only takes workers 30 seconds to put on the suit and take it off.

Besides assisting luggage workers, Delta plans on testing the suit for handling freight warehouses, life heavy parts and machinery, or move maintenance components.

Moreover, the suit could provide more job opportunities for those who have significant strength.

This is not the first time that we have heard about the Guardian XO. Back in March, the suit made it to the front page of every news outlet after Sarcos Robotics was granted a contract with the United States Special Operations Command.

In the next few months, the exoskeleton suit will be deployed to show employees what it can do.
