Verizon has been looking for buyers of Tumblr blogging platforms and other Yahoo properties since 2017. However, if Pornhub has his own way, it could make Tumblr work again, according to BuzzFeed News. Recently, Corey Price, Vice President of Pornhub has expressed about Pornhub's extreme interest in Tumblr and it's ready to bring Tumblr back to glory with adult content.
Dating back to 2017, Verizon Media Group bought the blogging platform from Yahoo. It should be noted that Verizon has deployed AI as a solution to prevent pornography on Tumblr for 1 year. Previous posts with pornographic content will automatically return to private status without user comments. Users also cannot customize these posts to be seen publicly.
The act of removing adult content on Tumblr has made many of the loyal users of the platform leaving it. Although there were many objections, Tumblr still kept the decision to block pornography. This has led to a serious decline in the number of people involved in this platform recently. However, Tumblr does not make any comments about whether pornography will make it attract more users back.
In the meantime, Corey Price has said Tumblr was a paradise for everyone to discover and show their sexuality along with adult entertainment content. Pornhub believes that buying Tumblr and allowing adult content to work on this platform will help it return to its glory.
In 2013, Yahoo caught Tumblr for $1 billion and it was only a small part of the big package when Verizon bought Tumblr from Yahoo. Neither Verizon nor Yahoo thought Tumblr would become such a money maker.
