Century's Biggest Breakthrough: NASA Found A Parallel Universe Where Time Runs Backward

NASA researchers recently detect the existence of a parallel universe where the physical rules we know from this world seem to run backward.

Theories of such a universe have been around for decades but they mostly circled in the sci-fi community.

This has been a matter of debate for physicists since 1952. Erwin Schrödinger a pioneer in quantum science, said in a lecture that the idea seemed lunatic. So far, there has been very little evidence proving that such a parallel universe exists.

It was not until recently that we have more proof pointing to the possibility of such a world. In a cosmic ray detection experiment, scientists identified particles that could be from another universe.

The Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA) took delicate electronic antennas into the cold air high above Antarctica with a massive balloon. The purpose is to avoid radio noise to interfere with its findings.

Winds of high energy particles are constantly hitting Earth from space, some can be a million times stronger than anything humans can generate.

Neutrinos, or particles with low energy, can easily pass through our planet without interacting with anything. However, Earth’s solid matters will stop their high energy counterparts.

This means we can only find these particles coming down from space to Earth. If we find them coming in the other way around, that would mean they are traveling back in time.

And that is what Antarctic Impulsive Transient Antenna’s experts have encountered.

Peter Gorham, the lead author of the paper revealing this odd phenomenon, is a University of Hawaii’s experimental particle physicist and also ANITA’s principal investigator.

Explaining the bizarre phenomenon, Gorham suggests a possibility that these particles have changed into something else before they pass through Earth. Scientists may have to wait for a long time before this happens again.

However, ANITA somehow has seen dozens of these events.

Even the team behind the paper thinks the theory of particles changing their state sounds wild.

So the most possible explanation now is when Big Bang happened, two universes were formed, our, and another one with physical rules running backward.

If the finding has no flaws that can discredit the results, we might be seeing the start of the quest for a parallel universe. According to Ibrahim Safa, another scientist working on this project, they either have a breakthrough of the century or an experiment error.
