Meet Gacha, The Lovely Self-Driving Bus From Finland

Overcoming these barriers, a Finnish manufacturer has launched an autonomous bus that can go anywhere without human control.

Autonomous vehicles are increasingly focused and developed by scientists since the trend of self-driving cars became popular. However, autonomous vehicles are still limited in moving on rough roads, recognizing hidden signs and lousy weather.

Overcoming these barriers, a Finnish manufacturer has launched an autonomous bus that can go anywhere without human control.

The Sensible four car manufacturer in Finland has produced a bus capable of autonomy in any weather condition. According to the manufacturer, it can pass through many cities regardless of different road conditions. It can also operate on roads with no lanes in the suburbs.

This bus is called Gacha; it can control itself moving through many different sections in different weather and light condition. The vehicle's current operating location, Espoo, shows its good autonomy when it is placed in the snow from January to February - about 43 days.

The Japanese design house Muji has brought the cuteness and petite to Gacha. This small design makes this autonomous bus be able to move smoothly in inclement weather. The Gacha can complete the missions on the planned routes, and the orders are changed as required.

Users can participate in changing routes of Gacha. New passengers will be allowed to make requests, and this autonomous bus will automatically set up new directions to suit and fit all passengers in the vehicle. Also, users can receive notifications about their arrival so that they can easily control their trip.

The appearance of Gacha has shown a positive and bright future for autonomous vehicles. Gacha is capable of operating in a wide range of terrain even under harsh environment, meeting the commuting requirements of people in large cities and having unstable weather. Besides, it does not require any human involvement with the operation of the car.

Gacha's experiment in Espoo has brought great success to this project. Manufacturers will continue to bring this lovely autonomous bus to Vantaa, Helsinki, Hämeenlinna, and Vanya later this year to confirm its operability.
