The package was reportedly shipped on March 12. However, instead of his desired smartphone, he got up to 5 soap bars.
Sharma said he complained to the courier service Blue Dart but the company claimed they wouldn’t take responsibility due to the sealed package. The Mohali Consumer Forum that followed the incident after receiving the complaint from Sharma has directly contacted with Snapdeal, Blue Dart, and Pious Fashion to require them to compensate Rs 1 Lakh for this engineer. Accordingly, he will get an Rs 81,799 refund and an internet of 8 percent per year (from March 04, 2017 to now). As such, the total of the litigation costs these platforms need to compensate is Rs 10,000.
