For many years, Juice has been the most celebrity dog in China. Until now, this celebrity dog has starred in a lot of movies and gained a massive amount of salary that can make someone crave for: He earns a six-figure salary.
Fans of Juice may ask what’s going on when his age doesn’t allow him to continue taking part in movies or showbiz. It’s clear that Juice’s owner has cared for it much more than all of us; and therefore, he has found out a perfect solution for this issue.
This celebrity dog’s owner, He Jun, has had a biotech company create a clone of his pet to let him live forever, even after his death. Reuters reported that Sinogene, a Chinese company, has provided pet cloning services since last year. The fees customers have to pay for each duplicate are about Rs 38 lakh.
In normal cases, owners just need to look for a good female to mate with their pets. However, it is infeasible for Jun and Juice. In the past, Jun found his renowned dog for the first time when he had been discarded and lost the ability to make a baby.
The clone version of Juice is called Little Juice. Sharing with Reuters, Jun said that with his influence on society, the celebrity dog himself was a kind of intellectual property and Little Juice might even make a better impression than Juice.
Up to now, China hasn’t had any restriction concerning the cloning practice on animals. According to a report, Sinogene collected samples of Juice’s genes in the lower abdomen to fertilize an egg. Three months ago, another version of Juice, Little Juice, came into our life.
The biotech company’s CEO, Mi Jidong also said that the number of pet owners who wish to spend more time living with their pets has kept rising.
