It will give the land that was required to the Indian Space Research Organization for setting up Space Museum and Knowledge Centre named after Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, via a lease contract.

Kerala’s government had previously handed over 1.75 acres of Kowdiar’s land to Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre for the space museum. According to VSSC, the government will be restricted when it has world-class construction on land like that. VSSC also requested for another alternative website for this project.

Except for VSSC, there are other major centers of the Indian Space Research Organization which are located not only in the city but also around it. According to M Sivasankar, the government will also build a robust ecosystem, along with the space tech park, for space tech research and applications, while Abdul Kalam museum will become an added attraction.
