As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to rise every day, the largest telecom operator in India has decided to step in. Jio, carrying forward its partnership with Microsoft, has unveiled a “Jio Together” hub to bring to users Coronavirus resources via its official website and MyJio mobile app.
The highlight of this new launch is a tool called the “Symptom Checker” with which users will answer a set of questions to know if they should go tested for COVID-19. Users can access the tool from the MyJio app on Android and iOS devices or head to Jio’s official website.
All you have to do is open the MyJio app, a banner which read #oronaHaregaIndiaJeetega will pop up. If you miss the banner, you can tap the “Jio Together” button which is in the top navigation bar.
Once you tap on the banner, you will be taken to the questionnaire which you will have to answer questions about your age, your travel history and the severity of your flu-like symptoms which include cough, fever, and more. After you are done, a report is generated. From this, you can know whether you will need testing or treatment.
Besides this tool, Jio also has a wealth of resources about the virus. It is essential since if someone receives a high-risk result, they will have enough information to know what to do next. There is also an FAQ section to answer all your COVID-19-related questions.
The app has a dedicated statistics section as well which displays India’s total confirmed cases, deaths, active and cured cases. Testing centers’ contact information and a helpline number are also available.
