As per Infosys’s Chief Information Security Officer Vishal Salvi, the company used to see the cybersecurity services demand from the insurance and banking clients, but now, the high-tech, manufacturing, and automotive sectors also found themselves in need of this support. Salvi also said that the cybersecurity segment had been on the growth of 25-30% year-on-year.

The segment is mentioned in the books of Infosys as part of its revenue in the digital sector, which increased by more than 40% in the previous fiscal year. It is known that the firm has been taking advantage of its current customer relationship to boost this business. He said:

However, he refused to talk about its cybersecurity team’s size and the invested amount.

Infosys will build a Bucharest-based Cyber Defence Center, the fourth SOC (Security Operations Center) worldwide. The center placed in the Romanian capital’s innovation incubator will offer support for the co-creation and development of cybersecurity solutions for customers in the EU.

Cybersecurity services demand has been on the rise worldwide across businesses with the attention shifting to more proactive solutions. However, one of the difficulties is the talent demand.

Salvi said that organizations were having various difficulties and were not able to retain their talents. The company considered this as a chance to add more value to its clients. The talent demand was huge; however, the challenge was the way businesses were built, developed, as well as how the supply segment was managed, according to him.
