Incredible Robot Dogs To Offer A Home Delivery Service

The surprising result, as showcased at the CES 2019 (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, is likely to foresee a giant leap for the delivery business to the future.

In association with ANYbotics, Continental, an automotive corporation, is striving to deploy all strong points of unmanned delivery vehicles and latest robot dogs that are designed Boston Dynamics, a robot maker. The surprising result, as showcased at the CES 2019 (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas, is likely to foresee a giant leap for the delivery business to the future.

What Can Robot Dogs Do?

It may be rather uncanny if an automated vehicle moves to a specific address and releases some little four-legged robot dogs to deliver the goods. ANYbotics calls these “puppy” robot dogs “ANYmals". In a live demo at CES 2019, these robot dogs were able to climb stairs, as well as press a doorbell.

In a press release, Continental talked about its idea when the company designed the delivery tech. Its main purpose is to propose a solution for the first or final mile mobility in the city to make delivery straight to customers' doorstep. It also states that delivery could be done all days and nights, even when we are at school, at work or when we are doing any other job.

How will our future be with these robot dogs?

We may have to wait for a long time before this innovation gets nearer to our daily life. One notable thing is sharing sidewalks with these delivery robots. Are all of us willing to do it or not? If you still remember, in December 2018, a delivery robot named Kiwibot has even been engulfed in fire in California.

Boston Dynamics or any similar companies have made major efforts to develop quadrupedal robots. This type of mobile robot can traverse many different terrains and perform a wide range of movements such as walking, running, or dancing.

Once those advanced initiatives are used in delivering parcels or meals, it would make a revolution in the delivery business.
