Electric cars have ended almost all the myths surrounding them about their performance. The electric cars on the market can travel over long distances. And some are even more efficient than some of the IC engine ones. And they are undoubtedly environment-friendly. What about their speeds? Here are the 5 fastest electric supercars in the world.
1. Pininfarina Battista

The vehicle was revealed at the 2019 Geneva Motor show and is said to be the fastest car ever made. It only takes the car less than two seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph and less than 12 seconds to reach 300 kmph.
What is more impressive is its top speed of 400kmph. If you think that would affect its range, then you’d better think again as Pininfarina Battista is claimed to have a range of 450 km for just one single charge.
2. Tesla Roadster

It would be a mistake if a Tesla is not included in a list of electric cars. Roadster, which was inspired by the Lotus Elise chassis, was Tesla’s first car to be on the global market. The car, over the years, has evolved. The company claims that the car only takes 2 seconds to go from 0 to 100kmph. Its top speed is 400+ kmph and its range is 1000km for one single charge.
3. Porsche Taycan Turbo S

The carmaker who is known for its iconic supercars has ventured into the EVs field with a quite mesmerizing car. The car comes with a high-end aerodynamic stance, LEDs, iconic headlights, everything that can make heads turn.
The Taycan Turbo only needs 2.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kmph. And this is, according to Porsche, not the best part of the car. The car can perform such runs repeatedly without any hindrance in its performance thanks to its 800 volts system, which is the first in the world.
The car’s top speed is 260 kmph and its range is 412 km.
4. Aston Martin Rapide E

This car is actually the V12-engined Rapide S’s electric iteration. The Rapide E has made its appearance in a James Bond movie. With its 800-volt-system and twin electric motors, the first-ever electric vehicle from Aston Marton is expected to be as spectacular as the car maker’s lineage.
4 seconds to reach 100 kmph, a range of 322 km, and a top speed of 250 kmph are all the things the Aston Martin Rapide E can bring you.
5. Audi PB18 eTron

The Audi PB 18eTron, with its futuristic look, can be on the roads as well as the tracks. While in track mode, there is a mono-seating feature.
Since the car is still a concept, its top speed remains unknown. The only information that has been revealed is that the car only takes 2.1 seconds to reach 100kmph and a range of 500+ km.
