At the end of a year, Google offers a list called Year in Search including the most searched phrases and terms according to each country. This year is not an exception. The search giant has collected the massive number of various genres and platforms as the hottest trends searched by its users in the world as well as those in India.
Similar to other years, Google’s Year in Search this year is a combination of diverse topics such as sports, politics, entertainment, media, and news. The two topics which have gained the most significant attention in the Google search tool in India hail from sports and entertainment.
Among these topics, Robot 2.0 holds the crown in the top search list of ‘Movies’ section. Meanwhile, ‘What is Section 377’ become the topics that are cared the most under the section of ‘What is’, in similarity with ‘Mobile stores near me’ for ‘Near me’.
As per the ‘How to’ search list, Google users in India seem to focus much on some kinds of topics like Aadhar, sending the Stickers on WhatsApp, porting a mobile number, investing bitcoin, and so on.
Besides, some other trends under the various sections have been searched much including Dilbar Dilbar (Songs), Priya Prakash Varrier (Personalities), FIFA World Cup 2018 (in both News and Sports events).
Among the world’s top search list on Google was the name ‘Stan Lee’, the God of Marvel Universe when he died at 95 this year.
