As Bitcoin is rising strongly in the past few months, even breaking the record $40,000 mark once, people seem interested in this cryptocurrency. A lot of people must think that forecasting how Bitcoin grows and falls involves a deep understanding of the market and cryptocurrency or expertise in finance. However, the answer could be very unexpected: astrology.
Maren Altman is an example, she is a bitcoin investor and an astrologer.

The 22-year-old New York-based investor has been observing the movements of asteroids in the sky to predict the cryptocurrency's fluctuations since last summer. While many people mock her method, she has got around 1 million followers on TikTok.
Two weeks ago, she told her followers to keep track of the change on January 11. Why? Because on that date, Saturn will move past Mercury.
It turned out that Bitcoin declined by 21 percent on that date before growing again then falling and growing back, coming close to the record-breaking $42,000 mark last week.
Altman said that she never tells anyone to buy anything. She added that she could predict the price pattern but never calls herself a financial consultant and she doesn’t know a person’s financial situation so she would never give purchasing or selling advice.

According to Altman, Mercury represents the data of Bitcoin growth while Saturn signals limits. Though many people may consider Altman’s predictions not reliable, this 22-year-old is among a group of young people with increasing influence on TikTok and those who began to post content relating to cryptocurrency since its growth in 2020.
They are joining the Bitcoin trading race, a mysterious field that still numbs the brain of many professional financial analysts due to the current lack of basic data points for use in analyses compared with conventional assets.
Craig Erlam, an analyst at OANDA, says that he is quite doubtful when it comes to predictions of the cryptocurrency, saying that he thinks it’s a choice of those looking for excuses to be optimistic.

Since the beginning of 2020, Bitcoin has risen by 5 times, from which investment banks project a lot of profits in the future. Citigroup says that Bitcoin can reach $318,000 while JPMorgan Chase & Co believes it can reach $146,000.
Meanwhile, Altman, using her knowledge in astrology, sees a good signal in late January, especially early February and early March. However, she added, there will be a major change in mid-March while mid-April will not be as good, it could be a bullish trend.
