Elon Musk Wants To Connect Neuralink Chip To Your Brain

The major purpose of the device will be to compensate for brain loss resulted from severe brain damages.

For the first time ever in human history, there will be a device that helps connect our brains to a computer, and this device will be implanted in human beings, according to Elon Musk, the tycoon and the founder of Tesla and the well-known neurotechnology company - Neuralink.

Musk also backs a neurotechnology company called Neuralink.

A special microchip, as well as flexible fiber electrodes, were introduced last year by Neuralink. They were described to support the connection mechanism from our brain to machinery. Also, Neuralink’s founder claimed that the electrodes in the future will be implanted with laser, as it is able to make holes in our skulls than mechanical drills.

It seems like the abnormal project conducted by Musk and his team is going well. The founder announced on Twitter that his startup is now working on a better version of the signature device in the company. He said with confidence that it will be “clearly better” as compared to Utah Array.

According to Musk, the new version merely needs to be technically better as compared to Utah Array, which is working with human brains and has presented severe flaws. Utah is a prevailing interface that is created to record human beings’ neutral brain activities.

The startup’s ambition is also remarkable. The major purpose of the device will be to compensate for brain loss resulted from severe brain damages such as accident, stroke, and congenital diseases.

We do not know clearly how the newly updated concept is, as well as if it will work effectively or not. Elon Musk, on the other hand, is totally optimistic and enthusiastic about the project. He even shared in a tweet that he believed in the potential of the transformation for brain and other motor functions storage.

If testing on human beings is welcomed, Neuralink implantation will be worth waiting for. As a sharing, Musk said that firstly they will need to make things easy to use with high security, then they can work on the risk involved and greatest utility. It will be a long time from researching to volume production.
