The police then informed the officials of the power department about the situation. After that, the two workers were suspended. Thus, a case was registered.

According to the police, sub-inspectors Vijay Pratap Rahi and Mansur Ali were checking if residents were following the government’s COVID-19 guidelines. They then saw two people riding on a bike approaching and neither of them had face masks on.

Each of them had to pay the police a fine of Rs 100 for not following the guidelines.

After being stopped by the inspectors, the two said they were Surendra Singh Lingwal and Mahavir Singh. Both were from the Bellani Rudraprayag’s electricity department. Each of them had to pay a fine of Rs 100 for not following the guidelines. While Mahavir accepted his fault, Surendra didn’t. This led to a quarrel and the power cut. After the incident, the power was restored while the two employees were charged and suspended from their job.
