But it has been confirmed that Disney+ Hotstar will officially be launched in India on April 3rd.

If you don’t know, Disney+ will make its debut via Hotstar, one of the country’s most popular streaming services besides Netflix and Amazon Prime. And with this launch, Hotstar will be rebranded to Disney+ Hotstar.

The answer is that the company has rethought its strategy amid the COVID-19 outbreak, according to The Walt Disney Company APAC’s President and Star and Disney India’s Chairman, Uday Shankar.

Disney+ is ready to hit the market this week since there isn’t any fresh content being launched amid the outbreak, which is a great opportunity for Disney+ Hotstar to catch some attention.

Users will meet Disney+ Hotstar with a brand new design both in its app and website. Along with a redesign, the new service will bring slightly more expensive subscription plans.
