Dentist Stripped Of License For Riding A Hoverboard While Operating On Patient

Dentist Seth Lookhart from Alaska, UK had to go on trial for his unprofessional and irresponsible act: operating on a patient while riding a hoverboard.

Just recently, dentist Seth Lookhart from Alaska, UK had to go on trial for his unprofessional and irresponsible act: operating on a patient while riding a hoverboard.

The case happened back in July 2016 when Seth began operating on a patient called Veronica Wilhelm at his clinic. After the patient was sedated, this dentist casually used a hoverboard to move around and did his job.

After the operation was completed, the dentist didn’t get off his hoverboard. He even went outside, took his gloves off, and triumphantly threw his hands in the air.

He even filmed the whole process and uploaded it online, saying riding a hoverboard while operating on patients is the new medical standard.

After receiving reports about this offensive video, the Alaskan authorities immediately opened an investigation and tracked down Veronica Wilhelm. Wilhelm was surprised herself as she didn’t know that Seth was on a hoverboard while taking out her tooth. She also had no idea that she was being filmed at that time.

In court on December 11, Veronica said that if she wasn’t sedated, she would have never allowed Seth to carry out the operation that way.

Even Lookhart’s lawyer admitted that the dentist’s act was stupid. But he went on saying that whether the dentist should be punished for his action since he had witnessed doctors do more dangerous things without being charged.

However, the Alaskan authorities later found out that Lookhart regularly abused sedation to inflate billing. Just in 2016, this dentist made $1.8 million from this. He was said to have stolen $250,000 from his partners.

After the trial in 2017, Seth was stripped of his license, but no other charges were charged.

As for the hoverboard, this is also considered to be a potentially dangerous means of transportation, causing accidents in many other areas of life. In July 2016, the Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled over 500,000 hoverboards after 55 cases of exploding batteries.

In the UK, a teen lost his life in a bus accident while falling off his hoverboard. In January 2016, in London, a hoverboard exploded, burned down an $1-million-house and killed two people.
