Amid the CO.VID-19 pandemic, a young dad in China has invented a special backpack to protect his infant son against the virus and the bad air quality. To prove that his invention is working properly, he has posted a lot of videos about the backpack on Douyin, the Chinese TikTok version.
Accordingly, the 30-year-old dad working as an interior designer in Shanghai has used a backpack for pets, installed it with air-filtering equipment, and modified some other details to have the final product.
The space inside the backpack is enough to fit a newborn baby. The screen outside displays the index inside the backpack like the temperature and CO2. The backpack even has a small hole so that the father can reach inside to pat his son.
This guy even designed a hazmat suit for himself and a pair of sterile gloves so that he can touch his son.
Sharing with the media, he said that it was really inconvenient to take his son to unsafe places at the moment like the hospital. He also explained that newborn babies had a weak respiratory system, wearing a mask can lead to hypoxia.
The young dad shared that he got his inspiration from Death Stranding, an online game. After he posted videos of the backpack online, many people have left comments, saying they want to purchase it the backpack. The designer is reportedly contacting some manufacturers.
At the moment, no health agency has confirmed the true effects of these devices in preventing the spread of the virus.
