The Ontario Provincial Police seems to have a special interest in Tesla vehicles. After releasing a concept of a police car with the Tesla Model X, now they move on to the Cybertruck and imagine it as a police patrol car.
Ever since the Cybertruck was released a few months ago, police departments all over the world have wasted no time to embrace it and try to turn it into a special police car in their own way.
In the U.S, the Fermont Police Department has turned an old Tesla Model S into a patrol vehicle. Switzerland now has the largest fleet of converted patrol vehicles with seven Model X SUVs. The Luxembourg Police also have two Model S as patrol cars.
Here is how the Ontario Provincial Police imagine the Cybertruck as a police car:
This render is released so that the public can compare it with image of the converted Model X made public two years ago:

The Ontario Provincial Police is not the first to work on the idea of a Cybertruck serving the police. In 2019, a Mexican mayor ordered 15 of these electric pickups to be police cars.
As it has the off-road capacity, six seats, 804 km of range, and 2.9-second acceleration, many have imagined a wide range of use for the pickup truck.
For now, Tesla Model 3 is still the prime candidate for the position of police cars as the Cybertruck will not make it to the market until next year.
Around a dozen police departments have embraced the trend of going electric and what they are buying is the Model 3.
