Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, NASA has launched a brand new platform namely NASA At Home, which will help you observe and participate in the agency’s discoveries, research, and exploration from all over the world and the universe when you enjoy all the convenience at home.

Now with NASA at Home, your whole family will be provided with a great wealth of trustworthy information categorized into videos and podcasts, E-books, DIY projects, and virtual and augmented reality tours, including the agency’s Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station and an app simulating the pilot’s seat of a NASA aircraft.
According to Bettina Inclán, who is the associate administrator for NASA’s Office of Communications, the agency understands the boredom of people everywhere, especially students, and their attempt to get somewhere else without leaving their homes. Therefore, they created a way for them to enjoy the breathtaking skies and clearly imagine exploring their destinations with all the comfort they have at their home. The developers of the web expect all of their dedication will attract everyone to NASA at Home.
This newly-developed program is also seen as a spotlight in educational and entertaining resources and activities for families and students of all ages. Moreover, it is a large repository that contains everything from formal lesson plans to vivid imagery and stories telling how science and exploration contribute to the world.

NASA at Home also encourages scientists to devote their time to the ongoing researches, from their solar system’s backyard to local ones. The research involves finding brown dwarfs in the outer solar system and helping track changes in clouds, water, plans, and other life to support climate research.
Interesting activities to interact and hear from the agency experts will also be found in NASA at Home. Being a telling example, record-breaking astronaut Christina Koch starts Instagram live at 4 p.m EDT weekdays to read children’s books as part of educational and STEM lessons for students.
Additionally, NASA at Home-themed program from 10 a.m to 4 p.m weekdays is also established by NASA Television and broadcast around-the-clock with recent events and news, talk shows with astronauts on the International Space Station, educational programs about science, technology as well as exploration topics, and historical programs originated from the agency’s storied past.
So, remember to visit #NASAatHome regularly to update the latest and greatest information of the universe in this quarantine season!
