Coronavirus infection is serious and it has scared the hell out of a lot of people, which has led to some seriously extreme, and sometimes unnecessary measures to be taken for protection against it.

Recently, a video of two passengers onboard a flight in Australia wrapping themselves in plastic sheets has taken the Internet by storm.

These passengers worn face masks and their costumes have armholes and hoods. The video was shared by Alyssa, a Twitter user. She wrote that these scared passengers sat right behind her, along with hashtags #COVID2019 and #coronavirus.

In the video, we can see the female passenger appears to be asleep. She wears a pink plastic outfit with a face mask while the other has a clear one with a face mask and gloves.

As you may have guessed, being wrapped in the plastic costumes is far from comfortable but most people think that their appearance is funny.

A user said that while it was better safe than sorry, he would rather not die by suffocating like that. Another user pointed out that the scared passengers were still breathing the same air as others on the plane.

Another post said that if the Coronavirus was on that plane, it might attach to the suit and when the passengers took the costumes off, they could get infected by contact.

A user mocked that maybe these two knew something the rest of the world did not. However, he still wondered if they were fine under that layer of plastic.

Australia has 15 confirmed cases of the virus, all of them are direct or indirect linked to the city of Wuhan, where the pandemic broke out.
