All of us want to work for a company that cares about its employees. Whether it is an a-three-day-off offering or the perks in the office, these things can help employees feel appreciated and maintain their long-term retention with the company.
But, it seems like one game development company in Japan has taken this to a whole level by gifting its employee iPhone, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and graphic cards.
It may sound too good to be true. However, it did happen at MiHoYo, the creator of Genshin Impact, the famous open-world action role-playing game.
This was revealed by a Twitter user whose account is @ZhugeEX. He revealed that the massive giveaway was held at the annual employee meeting of the company. These gifts were offered as a thank you to the employees for the successful year of 2020.
The gifts included the newest PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, GeForce RTX Graphics Cards, Apple iPads, iPhones, and more.
Because of limited stocks, the goodies were distributed through a lottery system so that all employees got an opportunity.
Looking at those GPUs and PS5s, it makes us wonder whether this has caused the shortage for both of these products. As a result, both devices are being sold at a high price.
Sony announced that in the launch quarter, the company sold more than 4.5 million PS5s.
