In China, the streaming business has become more and more developing. Deloitte reported that the live-stream industry in this country increased by up to 32 percent to about 4.4 billion dollars last year. Therefore, the chances of success of vloggers will be bigger. The more audiences are interested in their streaming videos, the more money they can earn. That’s why we sometimes see some weird videos, even including fatally dangerous content on social media. The following story of the Chinese vlogger is such an example.

For Fame, Betting Your Life On Streaming Videos
It is exactly what a vlogger from China made, including many “risky things” to attract more and more followers. However, in the end, he even lost his life while consuming alive poisonous geckos and centipedes on a live-streaming video.
The 35-YO vlogger has about 15,000 followers on China’s biggest live-streaming platform DonYu. All of his vlogs focus on recording the whole processes he eats many kinds of horrible creatures you can’t find at any restaurant.
In a bid to enhance the attractiveness for his streaming videos, he usually revolved a wheel that was marked with creatures or items he planned to eat, such as mealworms, geckos, centipedes, beer, eggs, baijiu, and vinegar.

Vlogger And A Fatal Mixture
Depending on the stop point of the pointer, this vlogger would eat that item. On his final streaming video, he was consuming poisonous centipedes. At the time when police detected the incident, he didn’t show any vital life signs for two days. Meanwhile, his computer still kept live-streaming. At present, his videos are removed out of the streaming site.
The police haven’t yet discovered which type of centipedes he ate, as well as whether the actual culprits for his death were live geckos. However, in fact, many know that some types of centipedes are venomous and can cause serious injury or death due to their bites.
The above incident is just one of the countless circumstances that are rapidly spreading on streaming services and social media. Lots of influencers and vloggers are conducting dangerous things just to earn a bit of fame from the number of followers on these platforms. For instance, Wu Yongning, a famous Internet star, known as a “rooftoper”, made many thrilling videos recording him climbing buildings with no vital protection equipment.
Back to two years ago, in 2017, this vlogger fell off the 62nd floor and died right after that. It comes as a surprise that there are always lots of people who are willing to take part in fatal games to have a few followers or likes on streaming services or social media.
