The internet is a double-edged sword. While some may find it dangerous for their children due to the risks of restricted content or exposing personal data, others find it a great place to learn things. It all comes down to how you use it.
While there are children out there spending their summer days with video games or Youtube clips, this 8-year-old boy from Chennai uses the most out of the internet. To him, the internet is a great place for him to enjoy his passion for learning foreign languages. Niall Thoguluva can write and read a whopping 106 languages.
Yes, this polyglot, child prodigy is able to learn so many languages thanks to the internet and video platform Youtube. Such a great achievement has gained him a lot of reputation and attention from everyone.

And in order to be able to pronounce correctly every language he has learned, the boy uses IPA as a useful tool. Learners use IPA to know how a word in any language should sound with an IPA-stylized version of the word.
According to Thoguluva, he is able to write and read 106 languages, speak fluently 10 languages, and is learning 5 more.
Shankar Narayanan, Niall Thoguluva's father, is not only extremely amazed at his son's special ability to learn languages at such a young age. According to him, his son has just taken up learning languages as interest since last year, and from then, he has made great achievements that are unheard of thanks to the help of the internet. He even teaches his parents how to pronounce new languages.
So there, if the internet can help a child learn more languages than dozens of adults combined, you can totally take him as an inspiration to learn something from it.
