Canon Is Planning On Crowdfunding A “Clippable” Tiny Camera

A crowdfunding campaign is currently under preparation by Canon for the Ivy Rec, a “clippable” rugged camera for your outdoor adventures.

It may be late for Canon to join the clip-on camera party, however, the company still believe that they are able to deliver something new to the table.

On one hand, the cute and tiny device probably will not be able to conquer the top spot for cameras with the best image quality with its only 1080p 60FPS and a sensor of 13-megapixel. On the other hand, it is constructed around a water-resistant and shock-proof design that would guarantee better safety when you use it instead of your phone while swimming at the beach or hiking in the woods.

It will be logical to assume that an app will be released soon which serves the purpose of transferring your pictures to your handsets for your social sharing or to preview those taken pictures.

There is currently no available information on how much the Ivy Rec will cost, or regarding when the campaign will officially begin. However, it is safe to assume that the device will cost relatively less than your current handset, and that should be Ivy Rec's strong point. You won’t have to worry about your camera while you are enjoying your moment. Although the camera may not be as rugged as the full-fledged action camera, it might just be enough to help you enjoy your moments and spend less time worrying about how to take the perfect images or not damaging your electronics.
