Atsumi Fashion, an apparel company from Toyama, Japan, recently launched a collection of masks made completely from women’s undergarments.
The company used the material for women’s bra to makes these masks. The masks come in different colors and even have lace to enhance their unicity.
According to the Japanese Times, the company came up with this idea about a month ago after it discovered that the synthetic fabric used to make bras was similar to the fabric used for making masks on the market. That is why Atsumi has decided to use the available materials on the market to make its own masks.
While most of the masks available on the market use white as their dominant color, masks from Atsumi Fashion come in different colors, depending on the fabric, from basic colors like white, black to pastel colors like pink, blue, and lemon.
Looking at the mask, the first impression is that its design is identical to the 3M mask. And for your information, the 3M mask was first released in 1961 and it was actually inspired by the bra. But the new bra mask model from Atsumi has brought fresh air into the product.
The sales unit states that the bra mask product was sold out after only 1 minute of opening sale on its online page. Each mask costs $14, which is at half the price of a bra. It is not clear whether the company has the intention to distribute this product to international markets in the future.
