At the Apple Museum in Prague, Czech Republic, you can find a huge college of the company’s products. Now, the museum has revealed its plan to build an interactive replica of the garage where Steve Jobs found his company.
The original and authentic garage is in California where Jobs and his co-founder Steve Wozniak used as the company headquarters. Here, the pair designed the very first Apple computers in the 1970s. The location was approved by the Los Altos History Committee as a historical site in 2013.
In an interview with the Business Insider, CEO Irena Jirouskova says that this replicating garage will be integrated with AR technology so that visitors can experiences what Steve Jobs did in the early days of Apple.
Opened in 2016, the Apple Musem has been providing tech-lovers an in-depth look at the history of one of the world’s largest technology companies.
One of the first things you will see once you step foot inside the museum is the portrait of Steve Jobs which was made from the components of 6 iMac G3s, an Apple computer manufactured and sold from 1998 to 2003.
The museum has a wide range of exhibits in tribute to Jobs.
While taking a look at all Apple’s Mac computers ever designed, manufactured and sold, visitors can listen to Jobs’ presentations at Macworld Expos from years ago.
The museum’s owners even hired a local artist to recreate an artwork called The Son of a Migrant from Syria from Banksy.
Based on the original work presented by Banksy at the Calais refugee camp in 2015, the painting depicts the co-found and former Apple CEO Steve Jobs, the son of a Syrian immigrant who came to the US.
The museum has an impressive collection of Apple products since the first days of the company.
This is the first computer Apple, called Apple 1, released in 1976. It was hand-built by Jobs and Wozniak. The computer was sold without a case, power adapter, keyboard, or monitor.
Wozniak decided that $666,66 was the starting price of this computer since he liked 3-digit numbers.
Apple’s 1997 Think Different campaign is displayed on the wall with portraits of people participating in the campaign including celebrities such as Martin Luther King Jr, Alfred Hitchcock, and Pablo Picasso.
Visitors can see the evolution of iMac. Since its release in 1998, iMac has gone through 7 different generations.
Most of the products displayed at the museum are from the collection of the museum’s owner who is a big fan of Apple.
European entrepreneurs and Apple executives are the museum’s frequent guests.
The new garage will be opened in April.
