In a shocking case, a scientist who worked at the Indian Space Research Organization’s National Remote Sensing Centre was found viciously murdered inside his apartment.
IANS reported that the scientist whose name is S Suresh was found killed at his flat at the Annapurna Apartment located in the Ameerpet area, Hyderabad. The police haven’t found the culprits.
A Kerala native, Suresh was in his flat alone. When he did not show up at work on Tuesday, his colleagues and friend became suspicious. Suresh has lived in Hyderabad for 20 years. Suresh’s wife was also working in the same city but in 2005, she was transferred to Chennai. Their daughter resides in New Delhi while their son lives in the US.
His colleagues got no response after trying to reach him through his mobile number. They notified his wife Indira. She is currently working at a bank in Chennai.
Soon after that, Indira and some other family members came to Hyderabad and alerted the police. Once they broke into the flat, they found Suresh lying dead.
The police suspect that whoever did this had used a heavy object to hit Suresh on the head, leading to his death. An autopsy has been carried out. SR Nagar police inspector, S Murali Krishna told the Hindu that three injuries were found on the back of Suresh’s head.
Senior police officers also visited the scene while a team was in charge of gathering clues. The apartment’s CCTV footage was collected to probe the case.
