A Police Officer Turned Off His Body Cam And Groped A Dead Woman's Breasts, Who Will Protect Us Now?

The recent brutal rape of a woman in Hyderabad and the inaction of the police station are still shocking us all, elsewhere in the world the situation is no better.

A new incident came to light in which a cop was caught groping the breasts of a dead woman. The police officer in question is working with the LA police department, which is known to be among the world’s most efficient police forces.

According to the report from LA Times, the cop, working in the Central Division, answered a call reporting a dead woman in an apartment. After arriving at the scene, he and his partner came to the conclusion that she was deceased.

The real incident happened when his colleague returned to the patrol car to get something. The shameless cop reportedly turned off his body cam and fondled the dead victim’s breasts.

But when he turned on the camera again, it had already captured his action.

Metro UK revealed that the cameras that LAPD cops wear have a two-minute buffer each time the wearer turns it off. That means they save videos and audio automatically two minutes before the wearer turns them on.

In a press release, the LAPD says that though the police officer switched off the camera, the device managed to capture two minutes of the action. The department added that they were investigating his work history.

Josh Rubenstein, the chief spokesman, said that they conducted an administrative investigation as soon as they acknowledged the incident. The officer was also assigned to home.

The board of directors of the department stated that if the accusation is true, the officer’s behavior is not just wrong but also too disturbing to bear. That’s also not aligned with the police’s values that include respect, reverence for the deceased.
