It’s not easy to get a seat on a crowded subway, especially in rush hour, and this is a common problem of big cities, so this passenger came up with a way.

Life can be hard sometimes, putting you in difficulties and challenges, making things hard for you. But it’s your choice to either backdown or overcome those difficulties. In this bizarre incident, a commuter squirted ketchup on the floor to mark his territory on a subway, preventing other passengers from taking his seat.

A commuter squirted ketchup on the floor to mark his territory on a subway, preventing other passengers from taking his seat.

Specifically, journalist Pervaiz Shallwani posted a photo on Twitter, showing ketchup spilled on a subway floor in New York. Along with the photo, the journalist wrote that in the morning train, a straphanger pulled a ketchup bottle out of his bag then squirted a perimeter on the floor to keep fellow commuter from crowding his seat. It was added in the post that the woman sitting next to that man remained on her seat.

Shortly after the post went online, the official account of the NYC Transit commented on the tweet, asking for the four-digit number of the train care that had the ketchup. A user even sarcastically said that the passenger must be suffering from ASPD (antisocial personality disorder).

Then, Shallwani replied with a photo of the number of the train car in question and the authority replied saying that they would have the maintenance team clean that as soon as possible.
