A development firm has come up with a new algae bioreactor which can capture as much CO2 from that atmosphere as an acre of trees. The new invention can potentially be a solution to dense cities to fight catastrophic climate change.
Hypergiant Industries made use of AI systems to create what it called Eos Bioreactor prototype which is a 63-cubic foot box filled with algae. According to the startup, the bioreactor's capacity in terms of taking in carbon is comparable to that of 400 trees.

We now have to admit that carbon capture technology would play a vital part in our battle against climate change. But up until now, no one has figured out the way to build a large scale carbon capture system. But at the same time, the system needs to be practical as well.
Algae bioreactors go with a biological approach regarding carbon sequestration. This is actually an already established concept that is going through a testing process at the International Space Station. Carbon dioxide emissions are what help the algae thrive, which means the algae could be harvested to be used as a source or a material of dietary protein.
A spokesperson from Hypergiant said that the firm plans to release its system’s blueprints so that people can work on new variants which might be more suitable for office buildings or houses.
In a press release, Ben Lamm, CEO of Hypergiant said that this device would be one of their first efforts to fix the planet. The company hopes to inspire as well as collaborating with other companies on a similar mission.
