A Hong Kong Bitcoin Millionaire Made A Cash Rain And Ended In A Police Van

A few days ago, a Bitcoin millionaire in Hong Kong was arrested after he made it “rain cash” on the street of Sham Shui Po.

At the area evaluated as one of the poorest regions in Sham Shui Po, on December 14^th, the citizens enjoyed the first cash rain in their life. All the information regarding this case was provided via a video on the Epoch Cryptocurrency Facebook page.

In this video, a man, who wore a black hoodie and drove a sports car, was saying to the camera: “Does anyone believe that money can fall from the sky?” Wong Ching-kit is the name of this man. According to a Shanghaiist report, as an entrepreneur and enthusiast in the Cryptocurrency investment field, he is well-known as a “Bitcoin millionaire” and is managing the Epoch Cryptocurrency page.

To know the man better, Wong always considers himself as a “god” or as a legendary outlaw, Robin Hood with the heroic ideal of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. This is sharply engraved in his own videos.

Two days after the first incident, Wong had a plan to make another cash rain in the same city; however, it didn’t come into reality when he was arrested for his violation regarding conducting disorderly in a public place.

For what Wong did, he was said to be a scam bitcoin artist who was operating a pyramid-like scheme. It was clear that the cash rain didn’t only help Wong to gain much attention from the residents in Sham Shui Po, but it also attracted the dissatisfaction from other cryptocurrency investors.

About 600 bills (equivalent to HK$6.000) were collected by the police after the stunt; however, some other sources said the real amount which fell from the sky reached up to hundreds of millions of HK$.

According to an Asia Crypto Today report, while being arrested by the police and sitting in a police van, he still kept filming and informing his situation to all the watchers.
