The report by Mercer|Mettl, a talent assessment firm, pointed out that over 32% of organizations did not have enough knowledge about the effective tools for assessment methodologies during the personnel hiring process.
The lack of budget posed as the second challenge for approximately 24% of respondents, as per the report titled ‘Tech Hiring & Technology Adoption Trends 2019."

Additionally, 12% of businesses lacked an available competency framework while approximately 21% depended on direct interviews for candidates screening.

Apart from 18% of firms which introduced smart technologies powered by AI in resumes filtering, the remaining companies still depended on lengthy methods for their application pre-screening.

Meanwhile, 18% of companies tested candidate by considering up-skilling them in the necessary cases. Accordingly, learning ability and cognitive ability become the criteria for evaluation.
