Xiaomi's Mi A1 Exploded When Charging

NEW DELHI: Rumor has it that Mi A1 - one of the first products ever of the smartphone series developed by Xiaomi, has recently caught on fire while having its battery charged. This incident was later reported by a user on the MIUI forum of the company.

The reporter was a man whose username was nexsad. According to him, the explosion happened when he was lying asleep nearby. Notably, since the first day bought, which was roughly eight months from now, there have been no signs of the phone having heating issues, let alone any other ones. The incident resulted in the phone being completely destroyed.
Along with the post, nexsad also uploaded some photos of the exploded MiA1. He also didn’t forget to remind his fellow users who possess Xiaomi A1 to "take care not to place it near your head while charging!!"

Apparently, the phone’s developer has kept its eyes on the post as the post was stamped as under discussion on the forum. But up to now, there hasn’t been any official action made by the company yet.

Some little details about this phone for those who are not familiar with it. The Mi A1 was officially released in August 2017. It runs on the operating system Android - 8.0 Oreo - and uses the Snapdragon 625 chip from Qualcomm . It is also equipped with 4GB RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage and a batter with 3,080 mAh

Lately, there have been some reports that the next generation of Mi A1 - Xiaomi Mi A2 are having issues relating to its battery. Many users reported that the battery runs out too fast. This issue can be explained by the use of the fingerprint recognition feature. It activates all the processor’s cores in the phone which resulting in the battery only last for a short while.
