Xiaomi Releases Another Video Of Its Upcoming Double Folding Device

The smartphone industry seems to step into the age of foldable phones. Some phone makers like Huawei and Samsung have unveiled their own foldable devices while other companies such as Xiaomi have also teased about their foldable phones.

It is known that Xiaomi released the first teaser of its foldable phone in January. Recently, it has posted another video lasting 10 seconds on the Weibo microblogging site. This video is quite short and includes the instant noodles in its frame without any further detailed information.

The teaser describes the back gesture that is handy when the phone is available in the tablet mode. Xiaomi’s foldable design sees both sides of the panel fold back to turn the phone from tablet to smartphone size at a fast speed. The Xiaomi foldable phone is one of the teased foldable smartphones with the double fold on each side of a tablet. Additionally, the gesture of swiping to left suggests that this Chinese phone maker is likely to offer MIUI’s gesture-based navigation on its upcoming device. Also, there appears to be a USB port at the device’s bottom.

Thanks to the teaser video, viewers can have a better look at what the Xiaomi foldable phone looks like. In the phone mode, the device appears a bit wide, which is more so than the current typically-elongated phones, and it also looks a bit thicker.

The foldable smartphone of Xiaomi is expected to be unveiled in the Q2, 2019. And the price is said to be less than half of the Samsung Galaxy Fold’s price.
