A few days ago, Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite - smartphone running stock Android OS has been updated to the latest Android 10 version. While it is quite normal to have a few minor bugs in the new update, a Reddit user reported that the LCD screen on his Mi A2 Lite was seriously damaged shortly after the update.
Specifically, after updating Android 10 on his Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, this guy spotted a few black spots on the bottom edge of the screen after the first rebooting. Before the update, the screen of the device was normal and there was no sign of degradation.
Of course, this is not the only case. Apart from the aforementioned guy, a few other people also confirmed the same problem happened to their device. Most likely, this is a bug in the kernel (the kernel of the operating system, which facilitates interactions between hardware and software components), causing the backlight voltage to be higher than the standard level and accidentally fried the backlight.
Notably, Reddit user also said that after updating to Android 10, his Mi A2 Lite battery was dropped to 66%, although it was fully charged before. At the moment, Xiaomi has not provided any feedback on this issue.
Xiaomi A-series smartphones running stock Android have been reported on many issues before. Recently, the Mi A3 has been updated to Android 10 but due to so many bugs, Xiaomi had to release a new OTA update to roll back the update.
