If you are planning to grab a Galaxy S10 phone but you are not a fan of the front punch hole. There is an included solution from Samsung to hide it.

Samsung just announced its new Galaxy S10 lineup at an event on 20 February in the US. The South Korean phone maker also showcased its first foldable phone alongside the Galaxy S10 lineup which is available for pre-booking via Samsung’s website as well as Amazon.in, Flipkart, and some other retailers. It will be up for sale in the Indian market from 8 March.

If you are interested in buying the phone but are still hesitating because of the hole-punch display, then you can still hide it with an available solution. The Galaxy S10 phones have an included option to hide the front cutout on the display using a virtual bezel. To be more specific, this option will add black bars surrounding the front cut-out which will completely hide it.

To enable the black bars on the Galaxy S10, open the ‘Settings’ on the phone, tap ‘Display’ -> tap ‘Full screen apps’. Finally, toggle the ‘Hide front camera’ , and that will enable the black bars to hide the front punch hole.

The Galaxy S10 sports a 6.1-inch Quad-HD+ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,040 pixels resolution, 550ppi pixel density and a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC or Samsung’s Exynos 9820 chipset. However, the models on the Indian market will pack an Exynos 9820 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 855 chipset.

In the imaging department, it features a triple camera setup on the rear, including a 12MP telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.4 and OIS support. The primary sensor is paired with a 12MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.5 and OIS support, and a 16MP third sensor with a 123-degree ultra-wide lens and an aperture of f/2.2.

On the front, both the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 sport a single 10MP sensor with an f/1.9 auto-focus lens and while the Galaxy S10+ has an additional 8MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.2.
Other key features of the Galaxy S10 lineup include IP68 certification, recording super slow motion video up to 8 seconds, Dolby ATMOS audio support, and display with 800 nits of brightness. All of the three phones run the One UI which is based on Android 9 Pie.
