Redmi K20 Pro To Have New Variant With 12GB of RAM, According To TENAA Listing

Redmi has just unveiled the Redmi K series, one of which is its first flagship device called Redmi K20 Pro. Now, it seems like the brand is about to bring even more powerful variant of the handset in the upcoming future.

For now, the Redmi K20 Pro is offered up to 8GB RAM, but it seems like another model with a massive 12GB RAM is on the way. The variant is revealed by an official listing of the phone on China’s TENAA which is the regulatory authority that every device has to certify before they go on sale in China.

The TENAA listing says that there are three variants of the Redmi K20 Pro with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB RAM. We have already known that Redmi already announced the first two variants while the third is still a myth.

We also speculate that the brand is planning to launch a transparent edition of the phone and it would not be a big surprise since it has already done that in the past with the Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 9 series.

The listing also reveals that the phone will be available in four additional color variants which are Purple, Gray, Green, White, and Pink. The current color options of the K20 Pro are Blue, Black, and Red.

The handset is expected to come to other markets under the name Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro or Pocophone F2 Pro, although the former might feature a different design that is in line with how the Xiaomi Mi 9 looks.

To recall, the Redmi K20 Pro was just announced in China with a Snapdragon 855 SoC, paired with 6/8GB of RAM. It has a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP main sensor. On the front, it features a 20MP pop-up selfie camera. It is currently priced at RMB 2,499 (Rs. 25,200) and RMB 2,599 (around Rs. 26,200) for the two available variants.
