Google Pixel 3 is arguably one of the most heavily leaked smartphones in history as people talked and compared its performance even before it was launched. With Pixel 4, Google decides to provide the public with more official information to count on. However, it seems like this move does not affect a bit the amount of leak on this upcoming smartphone.
Recently, a picture featuring a man holding what is believed to be the Pixel 4 in London surfaced on the Internet. In the photo, the phone has a similar square camera setup like the picture Google teased a few days ago.
If the image turns out to be genuine, judging from the size, this can be the XL version of the Pixel 4. A small cut out spotted on the top of the device can be the place for the microphone.
This leak does not exactly provide us more information on the specs or the appearance of Google’s upcoming phone, but it suggests that there is at least a test device out there. If what happened last year repeated itself this year, we will have the chance to know everything about the Pixel 4 way before its official launch date in October.
Earlier this year, rumor has it that the rear camera setup will look more like a rounded square rather than the capsule-like design that most other manufacturers are using for their devices.
Google has always made use of only one camera on the rear for its smartphones so even if the Pixel 4 has only two snappers, it is still a big improvement for the company.
If the previous leaks are true, there will be no place for users to place their fingers on to unlock the phone, meaning Google might opt for a face unlock mechanism or an in-display fingerprint reader.
