Over 300,000 Redmi Note 8 Pro Devices Sold in First Flash Sale

Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro were announced in China on 29 August. Now the company claimed that there have already been more than 300,000 units of the Redmi Note 8 Pro sold in its first sale. The handset comes in three memory configurations: 6GB of RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB of RAM / 128GB storage, and 8GB of RAM / 128GB of storage. There are three color variants that users can choose - Electro-optic Ash, Fritillaria White, and Ice Jade. Just like previous Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 8 series is also positioned in the affordable segment. The company also confirmed that the lineup would make its way to India in several months.

As for the Note 8 Pro, it also comes in three options - 6GB RAM / 64GB storage, 6GB RAM / 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. They are retailed at CNY 1,399 (roughly Rs. 14,000), CNY 1,599 (roughly 16,000) and CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,000), respectively.

Redmi Note 8 Pro: Specifications

The Note 8 Pro sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a layer of Gorilla 5. Powering the phone is an Helio G90T, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It ships with Android 9 Pie with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 on top to take care of the software side of things. On the imaging front, it comes with a quad-camera setup at the back that features a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter with 120-degree FOV, a 2MP depth-sensing camera, and a 2MP dedicated macro lens.

For selfies and video chats, there is a 20MP camera on the front. For security, it is equipped with a fingerprint reader mounted at the back. Finally, the whole setup is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging solution.
