Oppo To Reveal A Foldable Smartphone At Mobile World Congress 2019

It seems like a foldable phone is a trend right now as Oppo, along with other tech giants, are joining the foldable phone market.

In recent times, the world's first foldable smartphone called FlexPai was launched by a startup company named Royole. Soon after that, Samsung reveals its foldable phone at the Samsung developer conference. It seems like a foldable phone is a trend right now because Oppo will also soon join in the foldable phone's market.
According to Dutch tech website Tweakers, Oppo is still on track to deliver its first foldable phone. Product Manager at Oppo, Chuck Wang also confirmed that their own foldable smartphone will be unveiled at next year’s Mobile World Congress which is set to take place at the end of February in Barcelona, Spain. The fact that the company is coming to Barcelona to unveil its foldable phone also suggests that Oppo will launch this upcoming device outside of China's market.
The China tech company also reveals in the interview that the company plans to release a 5G Oppo phone in the European market. There is also a rumored smartphone under development with an in-screen camera; however, its release won't be anytime sooner than 2020.
Along with Oppo, Samsung, others big tech company like LG, Huawei also reportedly plan to release a foldable phone. Competition in launching foldable phones is becoming more and more fierce. There are also rumors suggest that the upcoming foldable phone of the two big tech companies, Samsung and Oppo can be unveiled during the same period.
At the Samsung developer conference, the giant tech company reveals that its foldable phone will have a 4.58-inch screen on the outside and when opened up, you will see a 7.29-inch screen. It's also believed to be equipped with an ‘Infinity Flex’ display which considered to the cornerstone of the future generations of the Samsung's smartphones. Both Google and Samsung are working closely to make sure that the new screen technology is compatible with the Android system.
We don’t really have any confirmed information on Oppo's date for its foldable phone release. But one thing we are sure of is that Oppo's foldable phone will make its debut next year at the Mobile World Congress.
