Oppo F15 Key Specs Confirmed; Quad Rear Cameras & VOOC Flash Charge 3.0

The Oppo F15's launch date in India is set on 16 January and its key specs are revealed to include quad rear cameras and in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Oppo F15 has been confirmed by Oppo to make its debut in India on 16 January. The brand has revealed the release date along with several key specs of the Oppo F15 yesterday. The forthcoming Oppo F1-series smartphone is expected to feature similar design elements of the Oppo Reno smartphones, such as curved glass rear panel and AMOLED display. Now, the brand confirmed that the phone will come with a quad-camera cluster on the rear with a 48MP main sensor, an under-display fingerprint reader, and VOOC Flash Charge 3.0. While the company doesn’t give the full details of the camera setup, but we expect to see a depth sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro lens, and a 48MP main sensor on the quad-camera setup.

The handset is confirmed to arrive in India on 16th January. As for its price, the Oppo F11, which is Oppo F15’s predecessor, was offered by Oppo India for a price of Rs. 24,990 at launch. Therefore, we expect the Oppo F15 price in India to be around that mark.

OPPO F15: Expected Specifications

In a new poster, Oppo revealed that the Oppo F15 would carry an AI quad-camera lens setup with a 48MP main sensor and an enhanced third-gen under-display fingerprint reader that is claimed to unlock the phone in 0.32 seconds. The phone will have a slim design with only a 7.0mm thickness and a weight of 172g.on the rear, it will feature a laser light reflection, promised to offer a unique gradient design. Sadly, the company doesn’t give any details about the chipset, storage, and RAM configurations of the upcoming Oppo F15.

Software-wise, the Oppo F15 might ship with ColorOS 7.0 pre-installed, which is based on the latest Android 10. The software UI is claimed to offer system-wide dark them, icon customization support, and light visuals with new system icons that are more simplistic and comfortable. The new ColorOS 7.0 also brings weather-adaptive alarm sounds and notification, Payment protection, File protection, and new screenshot gestures.
