Realme on August 7 detailed its quad-camera setup which is expected to be the most important features of the Realme 5 phone. The "4" is known as an unlucky number in Chinese culture, so that's the reason why Realme is directly jumping to the number "5". One day later, this company continued to share several camera samples captured by the 64MP camera setup of the phone.
The camera setup features a 64MP primary sensor with the support of Tetracell tech (or Quad-Bayer) in native pixel binning. Therefore, the device will be able to offer an image output with 16MP resolution. However, the two camera samples shared have the 64MP resolution. The detail at the pixel level is expected to be about average, however, if users downsample them to 16MP, the photo is very sharp.
Additionally, the dynamic range looks amazing, even the cloudy sky in the 2nd shot did not blow out, which is greatly contributed by the huge sensor.
Alongside the original camera samples, the company also shared several downsized images, which showcases the 119° ultra-wide-angle sensor and macro lens. In addition, there is a night shot in there as well. Let's take a look at several different modes and cameras of Realme 5 below.
Realme India’s CEO - Madhav Sheth had confirmed the Realme 5 will launch in India first before coming to other markets. Several speculations suggested that this handset will be unveiled sometime in September. Sheth has also changed the name of his Twitter account to “Madhav ‘5’Quad”, which confirms the name and the inclusion of a quad-camera setup.
In the meantime, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is planning to unveil its 64MP camera phone. Alleged Redmi Note 8, the upcoming device could be powered by an Helio G90T gaming SoC. The MediaTek SoC is tipped to offer better experience during gaming sessions of KOG, Fortnite and PUBG Mobile.
